要换工作了, 总结一下个人心得:
1. 如果你的老板缺乏安全感,不肯放手让你施展才华或不肯给你长进的机会,
你要马上走人, 不管她是不是给你好的薪水或便利的工作时间。人无远绿
(别字 哈)必有近忧。我呈混过一阵,当时贪图公司离家近,老板好说话.
等到公司不景气时出去找工作.面试Google, 一问三不知,没拿到offer. 失去
赚钱的大好时机, 那时Google的股价才$120!.
2. 如果你有幸碰到好老板,肯给你机会,放手让你干,你要感恩和忠诚。
切忌奴大欺主。做长远打算,要把锋芒藏起来, 免得她有戒心,放一阵就收手。
所以找老板,要找比你经验多很多的,各方面比你强的,这样你们彼此才有个
长进的空间。当然,在升到一定的阶段后可能会report给一个和你专业毫无
相关的老板。这时要注意的就是他的leadership/soft skills, 这样你才会
另有空间。当然他要老了更好!
3. 挑staff 时以德为重。一个态度好,为人诚实,肯下功夫的staff是人生的
祝福, 要好好的以城相待。挑她喜欢的奖赏给她。当然你自己也要有长进,免
得档人家的道或是造成“教会徒弟,饿死师傅”。
4.有些staff会走曲线,绕弯和你的上级套磁,这种人不值得信任。她对你的所谓
忠诚实际上是不信任,可以把不重要的活交给她干,嘴上说些好听的打发她。她要
升职可以给她升,就当是给老板面子。谁让老板喜欢她呢!实权绝不交给她。
你也可以找个机会把她送出去,免得日后养虎为患。这种人是会不断地折腾,
迟早会给你惹事。
5. 有些staff肯干活,但像动物园的表演动物,时时会来要好处。没好处时就不
干活。 若这人能干,想把事干好,人品也不错,这人是可用之才。你要让这种
人看到她的缺点,免得她无知的居功自傲,并帮她达到她的合理目标。
6. 不管是什么样的staff, 千万别轻易允诺!要记住,你唯一可以轻易做到的
不过是多给他们一点comp time. 薪水和升职是你无法保证的, 除非公司是你
开的。
7. 要和你一切打交道的,和你平级和比你级别高的搞好关系。Information
from outside and side is very important for you. 有人帮你盯着
比没有强。Off course, you need to figure out how to be
beneficiary to others as well.
8. Fighting an uphill battle is hard. You most likely will end
up loosing the war. So, avoid it at all the costs, even if
the person on the top of the hill is not your direct manager.
9. If you really want friends in the office, let the person
proves himself out first. Observe his personal life and office
life, which speaks about the person more than what he tells you.
10. Never bad mouth anyone. If you have to give negative
comments, offer it as if you were giving an excuse for that
person.
11. When you give notice, say good things about the company,
the department, your bosses, your staff and all the people
you work for! Do work all the work days after you give notices.
Do work full time during those days. Don't give people the
impression that you checked out even if you mentally checked out
before you went out for interviews!
